Australian and New Guinea Fish
(and a few other aquatic critters)
(
Since about the mid 1980's I have always kept at least one type of rainbow fish. I find it odd that many pet shops tend to steer away from rainbows as they "don't display well". The primary problem lies in the simple fact that they don't look their best in a bare white shop tank. Put them in a tank with black gravel, a dark background, a few plants and sit back and watch them glow.
I have had a few fishless years in between and during this time watched as many rare species disappeared from the Australian hobby. Now that I have the opportunity to keep fish again I will be concentrating on rare species, fish from rare locale's, and just a few because I just happen to like them. I will have fry available from time to time but can also supply mops of eggs for ANGFA Rainbowfish Group Members or for purchase as requested (or as a trade for other species). For those interested in aquatic plants and other native fish , I would strongly recommend AQUAGREEN.
