Volume 1 (approx 350 pages) encompasses a comprehensive text on Husbandry and management. Volume 2 ( approx 850 pages) covers species accounts of all Australian lizard species in captivity in nearly 40 chapters. Each chapter systematically presents information on Genus/Species Descriptions, Sexing, Subspecies, Distribution, Habitat, Captive Status, Indoor and Outdoor Housing, Compatibility, Feeding, Breeding Methods, Incubation, Colour Variants and Hybrids.
An enormous number of new species have been described since the first edition and these are now included within this text with corrections to taxonomic names and over 800 new images.
